Neil and Analyn Henderson run 250 Angus breeders alongside a Wagyu program on NA Henderson Farms in East Gippsland. Their 1500-acre aggregation is based at Orbost and Alberton West, with high country at Gelantipy and coastal country at Marlo where steers are finished.
Normal rainfall ranges from 800mm to 1200mm which in good years allows Neil to carry steers through to feedlot entry weights to Rangers Valley.
They have purchased Angus heifers from Team Te Mania member Dennis Gleeson, which have been AI’d to Te Mania sires.
Herd base was originally Hereford and over past 15 years has gradually bred over to Angus, looking to further improve the quality of the genetics.
