It was with great sadness that we learnt the news of Stephen Smith’s passing.
Stephen Smith of Dick Smith Transport, Dubbo, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 10, at the age of 61.
Te Mania Angus had the pleasure of partnering with Stephen to transport our bulls for 25+ years, and prior to that with Stephen’s father, Richard (Dick) Smith, who founded the business.
Stephen and Sharon’s support co-ordinating the freight from our bull sale events was first class in terms of efficiency, stockmanship and all round professionalism. No job was too big or too small for Stephen and his team of carriers, Dave, Tom and Lucas. And when the day’s work was done Stephen was great company for a yarn and a good laugh.
Stephen had a profound impact on the people whose lives he touched and will be greatly missed by many. Our thoughts are with Sharon and family.
