Assessor comments: These are an impeccably bred line of EU accredited Team Te Mania Angus steers. Bred at Casterton and sent to Holbrook to escape the tough western district winter, these steers are absolutely flying, currently averaging 1.71kg/day since last weighing on 20th of October. All steers weighed 320kg+ to average 360kg full (320-427kg) at assessment. Worthing East are an ACR recorded Team Te Mania herd, with top Te Mania AI and lease bulls used annually, focusing on high growth and marbling (IMF%). These steers would be ideal to continue on grass to target high end feedlots or grassfed markets. Steers that will not disappoint.
Lot 459 – 20 Team Te Mania backgrounder steers
Assessor comments: These EU Accredited Team Te Mania Angus steers were bred at Casterton and sent to Holbrook to escape the tough western district winter. Although these are only light and are inevitably the younger steers in the drop, they are still performing currently averaging 1.51kg/day since last weighing on 20th of October. This lot averaged 304kg full (258-318kg) at assessment with a tail end removed. Worthing East are an ACR recorded Team Te Mania herd, with top Te Mania AI and lease bulls used annually, focusing on high growth and marbling (IMF%). These steers would be ideal to continue on grass to target high end feedlots or grassfed markets.
