Evan and June Baillie’s property Glencoe, at Forbes in NSW, has been hard hit by drought, and like too many other livestock producers, the Baillies had to make the hard decision to dispersing their Spring calving herd in the Auctions Plus Eastern Sale on Friday October 4th.
The Team Te Mania females, from Glencoe, attracted strong buyer demand in a seriously drought affected market, topping the sale twice at $2100, for pens of 40 cows with calves at foot.
After the sale, Evan Baillie said “our dedication to building a herd of highly productive females, producing highly marbled progeny, made all the difference in this market. We are very pleased with the result”.
