The 1000 cows which make up the Toolong herd belonging to Jon and Karen Jackson are bred for fertility, growth and marbling.

The Jacksons have been members of Team Te Mania since 1995 and produce steers for the long fed Japanese B3 market, and replacement heifers.

Being a Team member has given Jon access to quality genetics, information, quality of service and support.

Toolong is a founding member of Team Te Mania, since 1995, and is one of the progeny test herds, Breedplan recorded on the Angus Commercial Register.

Bull leasing and an extensive artificial insemination program using Te Mania’s leading young progeny test sires ensures the Toolong herd is making significant genetic progress.

Jon also values being of a progessive group of people and the ability to market his cattle as part of the Team Te Mania alliance.
