Arkoonah is located at Parawa on the southern end of the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.

The property runs a herd of 65 March/April calving cows producing replacement heifers and steers for the long fed Japanese B3 market.

Richard Woolcock joined Team Te Mania in 2001, following 25 years use of Glen Bold bulls which ended with the Glen Bold dispersal.

“Team Te Mania membership gives us access to top genetics and means our cattle are of a higher quality so we have ready access to the feedlot market,” Richard says.

“Our herd is only small but we benefit from the overall direction of the Team Te Mania and the progeny test program being undertaken by some of the larger herds involved.

“It is a unique concept and a great incentive to keep breeding Angus cattle with a constant improvement in quality. The team meetings are a great source of information and enjoyment.”
